WOVEN PAINT(ING) IN BLUE AND GREEN

This work is part of the series of Woven Paintings that I first developed in 2017 when I explored the idea of liberating my paintings from any surface and essentially weaving my own painting. The idea of weaving together the physical paint is to allow the paint to exist purely in itself, without the support of a surface like a traditional canvas. This unconventional technique rejects the traditional mode of painting and experiments with the materiality of paint as a dynamic and versatile medium, celebrating the craft of weaving and the material of paint in its purest form.
